    University of Birmingham 2025/2026 Africa High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships

    The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce the award of 15 scholarships of £5,000 for international students domiciled in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa who are applying for entry to an undergraduate programme at the University starting September 2025.
    The scholarships will be awarded to the highest performing students starting their University of Birmingham programme in the 2025/2026 academic year.

    Eligibility Criteria

    In order to be eligible, candidates must:

    • Have received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for a full-time undergraduate programme starting September 2025. The student must be entering the first year of an undergraduate programme based at Birmingham’s UK campus.
    • Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
    • Be classed as domiciled in one of the following countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa (i.e. habitually resident in one of these countries).
    • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
    • Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
    • Start their studies at the University in September 2025 (the scholarship award may not be deferred).
    • Be registered with, and have their undergraduate study application attached to, one of our local representatives listed below in alphabetical order.
    • Submit your scholarship application through one of our local representatives by the deadline; 27 June 2025
    • Upon enrolment in September 2025, pay their net tuition fees for the first year by 1 November, immediately following enrolment.

    • The scholarship is 15 x £5,000 towards tuition fees (for the first year only) of a full-time undergraduate degree programm

    • Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – For applicants strictly from OANDO Host/Transit Communities
    • National Merit Award – For applicants from Non-Host/Transit Communities

    To qualify for consideration, applicants MUST be:

    • Current beneficiaries of similar Awards from other Companies and Agencies
    • Dependants of OANDO personnel
    • Only indigenes of OANDO Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Imo States SHOULD apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
    • Only applicants studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences and Agricultural Sciences are eligible for the National Merit Award.

    NNPC/SEPLAT Joint Venture has announced the commencement of its 2025 National Undergraduate Scholarship Programme. The scholarship award is open to deserving undergraduate students of Federal and State Universities in Nigeria.

    The SEPLAT JV Scholarship Scheme is one of Seplat’s educational Corporate Social Investment programmes and is designed to promote educational development and human capacity building through provision of yearly grants to successful applicants to complete their degree programmes.

    Scholarship Benefits

    • The Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Award Scheme will give successful candidates a sum of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (?150,000) only every year.
    • The Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Award is renewable every year until graduation.
